Providing resources and support for underserved teens in local communities is a huge part of Encouraging Teens’ overall mission. Through her exclusive work with struggling teens, within programs such as Teen Court and more, Desiree focuses on building trust between herself and teens with whom she works—whether it’s for a short or extended length of time. This trust leads to honest work, shared wisdom, and a better relational foundation for teens and their parents, while also helping them thrive within the communities in which they live.

While it’s common to hear “second chance” in many of these situations, Desiree focuses on creating new beginnings. Desiree offers the tools and guidance needed to navigate the overwhelming emotions that underserved teens and their parents may feel while experiencing court processes or stressful life changes.
